Assistant Site Manager

Overview

A high‑quality and fast‑growing refurbishment contractor is seeking an ambitious Assistant Site Manager to support delivery on a major £120m commercial redevelopment in Central London. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience on a large, technically challenging scheme while working under an experienced management team.

The project includes a £50m CAT A fit out across 10 floors, with demolition and façade works. You will support Site Managers and Package Managers across 2-3 floors, gaining exposure to all aspects of high‑spec commercial delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Support Site Managers with day‑to‑day coordination of trades and subcontractors.

Assist with inductions, RAMS reviews, and site safety compliance.

Help manage logistics, deliveries, and material distribution.

Maintain site diaries, progress records, and quality documentation.

Carry out snagging, inspections, and follow‑up actions.

Assist with programme tracking and reporting.

Liaise with subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams.

Uphold high standards of safety, quality, and professionalism.

Candidate Profile

Experience as an Assistant Site Manager, Site Supervisor, or similar role.

Exposure to commercial fit out or refurbishment projects preferred.

Strong organisational skills and willingness to learn.

Confident communicator with a proactive, positive attitude.

CSCS required; SSSTS/First Aid beneficial.
