Supervisor
Role outline:
Supervision of planned projects works and maintenance programmes.
Responsibilities:
– Carry out on site dynamic risk assessments and identify health and safety hazards.
– Mechanical fault finding and problem solving.
– Mechanical site installations.
– Plan day works and ensure appropriate skill sets are applied to task.
– Provide technical assistance to ground operatives to ensure jobs are attended promptly and are closed efficiently / without the need for re-attendance.
– Liaise with the customer and Project Managers to address any access issues / planning issues that may arise.
– Carry out site inspections and completion of site diaries.
– Ensure all operatives are adhering to safety procedures and that near misses / accidents / incidents and non-conformances are reported.
– Carry out site surveys and attend client meetings.
– Ensure stock of consumables is maintained and restocked accordingly.
Requirements:
– Possess GCSE or an equivalent standard in English and Maths.
– Successfully completed a modern apprenticeship or equivalent in engineering.
– Relevant experience with engineering environment (preferred but not essential)
– Hold: CSCS or equivalent
– EUSR Water and Sewage (Preferred not essential)
– PASMA (Desired but not essential)
– IPAF (Desired but not essential)
– Confined space – high risk (Desired but not essential)
– Abrasive wheels (Desired but not essential)
– Working knowledge of pipework, screens, pumps, and motors.
– Experience in on-site engineering environment is essential.
– Hard working, good communication skills and conscientious
– Maintain a positive attitude and ability to work calmly under pressure.
– Ability to work on own initiative, be self-motivated and work part of a team
