Assistant Quantity Surveyor
Location: Hurstwood, Manchester
Salary: £26,000 – £35,000 Competitive Salary + Excellent Benefits
Job Type: Permanent

We are currently working in partnership with a well-established and growing construction business to recruit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor for their team based in Hurstwood, Manchester.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company delivering high-end residential and commercial projects, including luxury developments valued at £1 million+, often for high-profile clients.

The Opportunity

This role is ideally suited to someone at the early stages of their Quantity Surveying career who is looking to develop within a supportive and forward-thinking environment. You'll gain hands-on experience across prestigious projects while working closely with an experienced commercial team.

Key Responsibilities

Assisting with cost planning, estimates, and budgeting
Supporting the commercial management of projects from inception through to completion
Assisting with procurement and subcontractor packages
Monitoring costs, variations, and project financial performance
Supporting valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts
Liaising with site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
Assisting with reporting and commercial analysis
Helping ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget

What We're Looking For

Degree qualified (or working towards) in Quantity Surveying or a related field
Early career experience (including placements or up to around 1-2 years in a similar role)
Strong numerical and analytical ability
Excellent attention to detail
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
A motivated individual keen to learn, develop, and grow within a business long-term
