Pre-Construction Manager – Fire Protection

Roles/Responsibilities
Lead pre-construction activities across multiple passive fire protection projects
Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and programme planning
Review designs, specifications, and fire risk assessments to ensure compliance with regulations
Collaborate with clients, design teams, and contractors to optimise solutions and drive value engineering
Develop detailed cost plans, budgets, and resource strategies
Prepare pre-construction documentation including Method Statements, PQPs, ITPs, and compliance matrices
Assess subcontractor and supplier proposals, ensuring quality and compliance of materials
Support tender submissions with technical input, cost advice, and programme development
Qualifications
Proven experience in pre-construction, estimating, or similar roles within fire protection, construction, or fire & security sectors
Strong technical knowledge of fire doors, fire stopping, compartmentation, and containment systems
Experience managing budgets and cost plans on projects (£2–5 million)
Strong commercial awareness and ability to identify cost efficiencies
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
Experience working with clients, consultants, and subcontractors
Proficient in project management and digital reporting systems
Full UK driving licence
