Business Development Manager
We are working with a well-established and highly respected construction and fit-out contractor that is expanding its presence across the UK with the launch and growth of its London office.
The business has a strong heritage delivering high-quality projects across retail, commercial office, hospitality, and public sector environments, with particular expertise in fit-out, refurbishment, facilities management, and specialist construction services. Known for its collaborative approach and long-term client relationships, the company is continuing to grow its footprint within the UK market.
As part of this expansion, they are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth, secure new opportunities, and build a strong pipeline of work within the London and wider UK market.
The Role
This is a key strategic role focused on developing new business opportunities and strengthening client relationships across the retail and office fit-out sectors.
You will be responsible for identifying and securing new projects, working closely with senior leadership, pre-construction, and delivery teams to position the business for continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement a business development strategy for the London region
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders
* Identify and secure new opportunities across retail and commercial office fit-out projects
* Leverage existing industry contacts to generate new leads and workstreams
* Support bid and tender processes alongside pre-construction teams
* Attend networking events, client meetings, and industry functions
* Track market trends and identify new sectors or opportunities for growth
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful project conversion
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Business Development Manager within construction or fit-out
* Strong existing network and contacts within the UK construction / fit-out market
* Background in retail and/or commercial office fit-out projects
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
* Commercially aware with the ability to identify and convert opportunities
* Self-motivated and able to work autonomously
