Hours: Monday – Friday (Full Time)
Contract: 6 Month Fixed Term Contract – This role will go permanent for the right candidate
Salary: £26,436
Our client is seeking an enthusiastic Junior Gardener/Groundsperson to join their dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a love of plants and gardens, a desire to learn, and a practical, hands-on approach to horticulture and estate maintenance. The role offers exposure to a wide range of gardening tasks across diverse areas of the estate, with opportunities to develop skills under the guidance of experienced team members.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain herbaceous and mixed borders, fruit trees, kitchen garden areas, trees, and shrubs.
* Cut and maintain grass across the estate, including mowing, strimming, and leaf blowing.
* Carry out soil cultivation, digging, forking, mulching, watering, raking, weeding, edging, pruning, bed preparation, and planting.
* Use and maintain hand tools and basic light machinery safely and efficiently.
* Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
* Follow health and safety guidelines at all times.
* Assist other departments when needed and contribute to the smooth running of the estate.

* Positive “can-do” attitude and strong work ethic.
