Job Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Fire Stopper to join our team on a commercial office fit-out project. The ideal candidate will hold FIRAS accreditation (or equivalent) and be fully competent in installing and certifying fire stopping systems in line with current regulations and industry standards.
This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong knowledge of passive fire protection systems, and the ability to properly document and register completed works with the appropriate governing bodies.
Key Responsibilities
Installation of fire stopping systems including batt & mastic, fire collars, wraps, and sealants
Ensuring all works comply with current fire safety regulations and manufacturer specifications
Accurately recording installations and maintaining site documentation
Registering completed works with FIRAS or other relevant certification schemes
Working closely with site managers, contractors, and inspectors
Carrying out remedial works where required
Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
Requirements
Valid FIRAS accreditation (essential) or ability to register works under an approved scheme
Proven experience in fire stopping on commercial projects (office fit-outs preferred)
Strong understanding of passive fire protection systems
CSCS Card (required)
NVQ Level 2 in Passive Fire Protection
Own tools and PPE
