Planner/Senior Planner – Cheshire
  
About the Role
A leading organisation operating across the UK energy, infrastructure, and utilities sectors is seeking a Planner / Senior Planner to support the delivery of complex development projects across nationally significant infrastructure.
  
This role will focus on managing and supporting major planning applications, working closely with multidisciplinary technical teams, and engaging with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies. You will play a key role in coordinating planning strategy and ensuring successful project outcomes across sectors including energy, data centres, and nuclear.
  
Key Responsibilities

Support and lead the delivery of major planning applications and complex development projects.
Coordinate planning strategy across multidisciplinary project teams.
Engage with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies throughout the planning process.
Support Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and development consent processes.
Prepare and review planning documentation, reports, and submissions.
Provide planning advice to internal teams and external clients.
Manage project timelines, risks, and deliverables.
Represent projects in meetings, consultations, and stakeholder engagements.   
About You
You have experience delivering planning support for complex infrastructure or development projects and are confident working with technical teams and stakeholders to drive projects forward.
  
You are an effective communicator with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities. You are comfortable working in a client-facing environment and contributing to high-profile projects.
  
Essential Experience & Qualifications

Currently holds or is working towards an RTPI-accredited planning qualification with Chartered membership (or equivalent).
Strong experience delivering major planning applications and complex development projects.
Knowledge of UK planning processes, including EIA and development consent.
Strong stakeholder engagement and client relationship management skills.
Experience working within energy, utilities, infrastructure, data centres, or nuclear sectors.   
Cheshire and Newcastle locations
Full-time, Permanent
£35,000 – £55,000
