Associate Director of Building Surveyor – Leeds
Want to be part of a nationally recognised company with one of the best working environments in the sector, who are looking to grow their team in Leeds with a strong focus on Retail and Education?
Here at TSA Surveying, we are representing an established client who was our closest client last year, with three successful placements made, including the appointment of their Lead Director who has since started. Due to continued growth, he is now expanding his team further with a requirement for an associate director of Building Surveyor.
The business is actively looking to expand their building surveying presence across Leeds. They are looking to build on their team of 110 individuals, with 30 currently based in Nottingham, comprising a mixture of building surveyors, project managers and cost managers. They are actively assembling a dedicated team of surveyors to deliver their existing and growing workload. The company has been involved in the successful expansion of multi-academy trusts and large-scale new build regeneration projects.
The client is searching for a Associate director Building Surveyor, ideally with a background in education or project-led work, who is keen to lead and support the existing building surveying team of three. A key responsibility of the role will be supporting school estates by providing a clear understanding of their current asset needs, assisting with funding applications, and managing projects through to successful completion. Alongside their strong education pipeline, the client is also actively looking to expand further into the industrial and commercial sectors. Historically, the company has delivered projects ranging from £30k up to £32m, with a sweet spot between £1.3m and £3.4m. You will need to manage key clients such as ALDI and University of Leeds.
The ideal candidate will have 4+ years’ experience in the building surveying industry, preferably within the education or healthcare sectors. Our client prides themselves on a more personal and supportive management style due to being a slightly smaller firm, making this an ideal opportunity for someone looking to reduce work pressure while still benefiting from a competitive salary and an excellent working environment.
If this role feels like the perfect next step in your career and you want to play a key part in the company’s continued growth, please apply immediately as shortlisting is about to begin.
