A leading and long-established regional main contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Estimator or Senior Estimator to strengthen its pre-construction team.

Estimator / Senior Estimator – The Role
As Estimator or Senior Estimator you will be responsible for preparing competitive and commercially robust tenders for a range of new build construction projects.
Working as part of the pre-construction team, you will review tender information, build accurate cost plans and work closely with operational and commercial teams to ensure successful bids.
This role would suit either an experienced Estimator looking to progress or a Senior Estimator seeking a stable and respected contractor with a strong regional presence.
Estimator / Senior Estimator – Responsibilities
* Preparing detailed cost estimates for new build construction projects
* Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation
* Producing take-offs and cost plans
* Obtaining and evaluating subcontractor and supplier quotations
* Preparing tender submissions and supporting documentation
* Identifying risks and opportunities within tender returns
* Working closely with commercial and operational teams during the bid process
* Supporting the handover of successful tenders to delivery teams
Estimator / Senior Estimator – Requirements
* Experience working as an Estimator or Senior Estimator within a construction main contractor
* Strong experience pricing new build construction projects
* Good understanding of drawings, specifications and tender documentation
* Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
* Ability to work collaboratively within a pre-construction team
* Must currently live within commuting distance of the West Wales region
