Senior Commercial Manager – Data Centre Project – Portugal

We are working in partnership with a leading international main contractor delivering large-scale industrial, data centre and pharmaceutical projects across Europe. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to appoint a Senior Commercial Manager to take full commercial responsibility on a major data centre project in Portugal.

This is a key leadership role, overseeing all commercial aspects of the project from procurement through to final account.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Leadership

* Lead and implement the overall commercial strategy for the project

* Ensure financial targets, risk management and governance processes are achieved

Cost Control & Reporting

* Manage full project cost control, including budgeting, forecasting and reporting

* Identify and mitigate commercial risks while maximising opportunities

Procurement & Contracts

* Oversee procurement and subcontractor management

* Lead tender processes, negotiations, variations and claims management

Client & Stakeholder Management

* Act as the main commercial point of contact for the client

* Lead commercial meetings and resolve issues to protect project performance

Team Leadership

* Manage and develop the commercial team on site

* Drive best practice, compliance and continuous improvement

Requirements

* 10+ years’ experience in a senior commercial role within construction

* Strong experience on large-scale projects (data centre experience preferred)

* Degree qualified (Quantity Surveying or similar)

* EU passport or right to work in Portugal

* €170,000 salary
