About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Director to lead the delivery of major data centre and mission-critical construction projects in Amsterdam.
This is a senior leadership position with responsibility for the full lifecycle of large, multidisciplinary design-and-build projects. You will oversee all phases from planning and design through to construction, commissioning, and handover, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Acting as the primary point of contact for clients and key stakeholders, you will play a critical role in driving project performance, managing risk, and maintaining strong commercial control.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale data centre and technical construction projects, ensuring alignment with programme, quality, and safety objectives

Oversee project strategy, design coordination, procurement, construction, commissioning, and final handover, including integration of CSA, MEP, and specialist systems
*
Manage project budgets, financial forecasting, and commercial performance, including contracts, variations, and risk
*
Build, lead, and mentor multidisciplinary teams, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture
*
Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and data centre quality benchmarks
*
Act as the senior client interface, leading meetings, managing expectations, and supporting long-term relationships
Key Skills & Experience
*
Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
*
15+ years’ experience in construction leadership roles, with a strong focus on data centre delivery
*
Proven track record managing large-scale (€100M+) technical or industrial projects across full lifecycles
*
Strong understanding of CSA and MEP systems, commissioning processes, and mission-critical environments
*
Excellent commercial, contractual, and financial management capabilities
*
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
*
Experience working within European construction environments
