Location: London Heathrow
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per annum
Working Format: Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days from home)

About the Role We are seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to join our UK Engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about structured design, technical delivery, and seeing projects through from concept to completion.

You will play a key role in delivering mechanical design solutions for high-profile projects across the UK, including work on industrial equipment, warehouse systems, and complex mechanical installations. The role involves regular collaboration with clients and multidisciplinary teams, and requires a mix of office-based design and on-site support.

The ideal candidate is methodical, compliance-focused, and enjoys working within a defined framework on challenging engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop detailed mechanical designs for industrial and logistical projects, ensuring practicality and compliance with relevant standards.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and specifications for use by on-site teams.
Conduct design reviews and risk assessments to identify potential issues before installation.
Collaborate with clients, consultants, and internal engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems.
Evaluate and select mechanical components and equipment based on technical requirements and project constraints.
Monitor project progress and provide technical guidance to support installation, commissioning, and handover activities.
Troubleshoot design or equipment issues and propose solutions to minimize delays and cost overruns.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Contribute to improving design processes, tools, and internal engineering practices.
Occasionally travel to UK and international sites to support project delivery and stakeholder engagement. Qualifications and Skills:
Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in mechanical design for industrial, logistics, or engineering projects.
Strong understanding of mechanical design standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
Experience working in multi-disciplinary environments (Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Safety).
Highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks concurrently.
Flexible with working hours and travel requirements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with clients and internal teams. What We Offer:
