Contract (14 Weeks Initial) – Potential Long-Term Extension

The Opportunity

We are recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to join a large regional main contractor specialising in design and build projects.

This role will initially focus on overseeing a 14-week demolition phase ahead of a major industrial development in Bristol. Subject to performance and project progression, there is a strong opportunity for the position to extend into a longer-term role managing the subsequent new-build industrial units on the same site.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Manager seeking continuity of work and involvement from early enabling works through to full construction delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and manage site operations during the demolition phase

Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, and to required standards

Coordinate subcontractors and site activities

Maintain strict health & safety compliance and site documentation

Liaise with project teams, clients, and stakeholders

Manage site logistics, reporting, and daily progress tracking

Support transition from demolition into construction phase (if extended)

Requirements

Proven experience working as a Site Manager for a main contractor

Experience managing demolition or enabling works preferred

Background in industrial, commercial, or design & build projects

Strong health & safety management capability

Excellent organisational and communication skills

Essential Certifications:

SMSTS

CSCS (Manager level)

First Aid at Work
