Assistant Quantity Surveyor – Leading Tier 1 contractor

We’re working with a leading Tier 1 contractor who is looking to appoint an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a major hospitality development.

This is an excellent opportunity to be involved in the delivery of a £35M hotel scheme comprising nearly 300 rooms, forming part of a wider regeneration project valued at up to £1 billion.

We’re ideally seeking candidates with around 2 years’ experience, preferably gained with a Tier 1 contractor, although this is not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assisting with the preparation of cost plans, budgets and forecasts

* Supporting the procurement process, including tender analysis and subcontractor appointments

* Preparing and processing subcontractor payments and valuations

* Assisting with the management of variations and change control

* Supporting the preparation of monthly cost/value reports

* Liaising with site teams, subcontractors and clients to ensure smooth commercial delivery

* Maintaining accurate project records and documentation

Requirements:

* 2+ years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role

* Experience working on large-scale construction projects

* Ideally, a background with a Tier 1 or leading main contractor

* Strong numerical and commercial awareness

* Good communication and organisational skills

* Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or similar

You will play a key role in supporting the commercial delivery through to completion.
