Electrical Project Manager

Location: Ayrshire, Scotland
Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 (depending on experience)

About the Role

A leading building services contractor is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to oversee the delivery of mechanical and electrical (M&E) projects across Scotland. This role will focus on managing electrical packages within a variety of sectors including residential, commercial, healthcare, and education developments.

You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards, while supporting the transition to energy-efficient and low-carbon building solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Manage electrical projects from initial planning through to completion
Oversee site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and industry standards
Monitor project budgets, schedules, and resources
Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure smooth delivery
Provide technical guidance on electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, and renewable integration
Support the implementation of energy-efficient and sustainable solutions

Requirements

Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager within the construction or building services sector
Strong knowledge of electrical systems and M&E installations
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g. HNC/HND, SVQ, or equivalent)
SMSTS or equivalent health & safety certification (preferred)
