About the Role
A leading building services contractor is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the delivery of mechanical, electrical, and renewable energy projects across Scotland. Based in Glasgow, you will manage day-to-day operations, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards.
This is a senior role that combines strategic oversight with hands-on management, driving performance across multiple projects and teams.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the operations team across multiple projects
Develop and implement operational strategies to meet project delivery targets
Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality, and industry standards
Monitor budgets, resource allocation, and project schedules
Collaborate with clients, consultants, and internal teams to maintain excellent stakeholder relationships
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including adoption of sustainable and low-carbon solutions
Oversee recruitment, training, and development of staff and apprentices
Requirements
Proven experience as an Operations Manager within the building services, construction, or M&E sector
Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
Experience managing multiple projects and large teams simultaneously
Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and renewable energy systems is highly desirable
Strategic thinker with a focus on efficiency, quality, and safety
Relevant qualifications in construction or engineering management (preferred)
