Project Manager Construction

Project Manager required with a background in external / groundworks construction

We are working alongside a £170m turnover construction main contractor who have recently won a large new build student accommodation in Southampton. They a keen to recruit an experienced Project Manager on a freelance basis to manage the externals package, which will include Foundations, RC Frame, roof, cladding and all associated groundworks.

The Project Managers will be site based and will be responsible for:

* Managing projects from design stage through to completion of the external works and handover. Working positively and collaboratively with clients

* The Project Managers will ensure Health, Safety and the Environment their first priority in all decisions and actions.

* Manage and deliver all construction activities in an efficient and cost effective manner that causes least disruption.

* The Project Manager will be able to demonstrate a positive ‘can do’ attitude at all times whilst understanding the impact of decisions on all aspects of the project.

* To report openly and honestly at all times, acknowledging problems, analysing and providing seeking solutions.

* To take responsibility and ownership for the entire project.

The Project Manager will need to have a background in groundworks and structures / cladding and experienced at taking projects from concept to completion. The Project Manager will be capable of running a project and achieving quality and commercial success
