Building Surveyor

A multi disciplinary Construction Consultancy is seeking a motivated Building Surveyor to join their London office. This Building Surveyor opportunity offers exposure to a varied project and professional workload across multiple sectors. The Building Surveyor will work closely with an established delivery team while supporting clients with their property portfolios. This Building Surveyor role provides the chance to develop strong client relationships and gain further experience across a wide range of instructions. The Building Surveyor will be based in a well located London office.

The Role
As the Building Surveyor you will deliver both professional and project related building surveying services across a varied client portfolio.

The role will include:
* Carrying out building and measured surveys
* Ensuring buildings comply with current building regulations and technical standards
* Taking particulars on site, writing specifications and obtaining estimates
* Planning maintenance programmes and administering maintenance contracts
* Analysing and reporting on building defects
* Handling claims and negotiating with loss adjusters
* Preparing drawings and specifications for remedial works
* Preparing schedules of dilapidations

The Building Surveyor?
You will be a motivated individual with experience delivering building surveying services within the built environment. Applications from candidates without relevant construction or property experience will not be considered.

The Building Surveyor must have:
* Degree in Building Surveying or a related property discipline
* Experience working in a Building Surveyor role within a consultancy or similar environment
* Experience delivering surveys, defect analysis and project work
* Ability to communicate with clients and wider project teams
* Ability to manage workload across multiple instructions
