Planner
Our client is looking for a highly skilled Planner to join their growing team and play a key role in delivering complex, high-profile projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced planning professional to work in a dynamic, collaborative environment with a mix of hybrid working and on-site project engagement. The role is available on either a permanent or contract basis, providing flexibility to suit your career path.
The Role
As a Planner, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring comprehensive project programmes to ensure successful delivery. You will provide expert planning support, identify risks, and offer solutions to keep projects on track. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure clarity, transparency, and alignment across all stages of delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Create, maintain, and monitor detailed project programmes using industry-standard software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project)
Track project progress, identify critical paths, and flag potential delays or risks
Provide proactive solutions to mitigate programme risks and maintain project milestones
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure schedule alignment and effective coordination
Produce accurate, timely, and insightful reports for management, stakeholders, and clients
Support project change management by assessing programme impacts of proposed changes
Ensure all planning work complies with company standards, governance, and client requirementsCandidate Profile
Proven experience in planning roles within construction, infrastructure, or similar sectors
Strong technical proficiency in planning software (Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent)
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities
Highly detail-oriented with a proactive and solutions-focused approach
Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative teamRequirements
Eligible to obtain and maintain UK Security Clearance
Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be eligible for security clearance, which typically requires long-term UK residency or citizenship
