Our client is is one of the industry's leading specialist fit-out and finishing contractors. With great
partnerships and connections with a lot of the Tier 1 Principal Contractors. This is an exciting
opportunity to join the close-knit family-run sub-contract company with a demonstrated history
spanning 7 decades with a chance to work on some of London’s largest construction schemes. This
role will allow you to socialise and work alongside the industry’s leading players with the opportunity
to develop close relationships and endless progression. Working with the Commercial team you’ll be
carrying out the day-to-day activities of a QS along with producing take-offs and measurements for
tenders for potential new work part of an aim to grow the business’ turnover and focus on bringing
in new clientele. This is a chance for a long-term career opportunity within a demonstrated company

Main Responsibilities (but not limited to):
You will cover all general QS aspects of the projects and will be responsible for:
• Reporting on and forecasting costs, income and cash flow for the business’ activities
• Pricing jobs, creating estimates and comprehensive tenders
• Carrying out valuations and producing interim applications for payments which will include
preliminaries, measured works, loss and expense claims, variations, and retention etc.

• Valuing change and producing variations
• Producing monthly CVRs and reporting
What you need to succeed
• Have strong and applicable experience as a Quantity Surveyor or will have a good understanding
of how finishing trades and fit-out works preferably on high-end high-value projects (Minimum
2-3 years’ experience)
• Experience with takeoff software and producing rates using first principal pricing
• May have BSC Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent (HNC or equivalent qualification in a
construction rindelated subject)
• Experience of working with JCT contracts
• Works well as part of a wider team, able to build collaborative and sustainable relationships
across the company
• Demonstrate strong commercial acumen, along with excellent organisation and planning skills
• Subscribe to high standards and a strong work ethic

• Excellent analytical skills and conversant with good reporting methodology
• Excellent IT skills and fully conversant with MS Word/Excel. A knowledge of Sage/Construct
would be useful but not essential
The successful candidate will be required to
• Work under pressure and complete tasks within tight deadlines
• Have the right to work in the UK
• Hold a full valid driving licence
