An established and growing construction and project delivery company is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Oxford team. The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will oversee projects from inception through to completion, taking full commercial responsibility while mentoring junior staff. The Role
* Leading cost planning, budgeting and feasibility studies as a Senior Quantity Surveyor
* Managing procurement processes, tender preparation and contract negotiation
* Administering contracts (primarily JCT) as the lead Senior Quantity Surveyor
* Overseeing project costs, variations and change control
* Managing valuations, interim applications and final accounts
* Producing detailed cost reports and financial forecasts
* Mentoring junior team members and supporting their development

The Senior Quantity Surveyor?
* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline
* Proven experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within the UK construction industry
* Strong knowledge of JCT contracts and commercial management
* Chartered or working towards MRICS (or equivalent)
* Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
* Strong communication and leadership ability
