About the Company:
St David Recruitment are seeking experienced Environmental Advisor to partner our clients team in the Cardiff / South East Wales region with an immediate start available.
Our client is a specialist civil engineering company focused on building, maintaining, and renewing essential infrastructure across the UK and have recently been awarded significant contracts, including a strategic water framework project for up to 11 years. This project highlights their commitment to delivering sustainable solutions in partnership with water companies.
The Role:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Environmental Advisor to support our projects across Cardiff and South East Wales. This role will be key in ensuring environmental compliance and driving sustainable practices across all project activities.
Key Requirements:
* Proven experience in an Environmental Advisor role within civil engineering, infrastructure, or utilities
* Strong understanding of UK environmental legislation and regulatory requirements
* Experience working on water, wastewater (WwTW), or utilities projects (preferred)
* Relevant degree or qualification in environmental science, environmental management, or similar
* Membership of a professional body (e.g. IEMA) desirable
* Excellent communication and reporting skills
* Full UK driving licence
Responsibilities:
* Provide environmental advice and support to project teams
* Ensure compliance with environmental legislation, permits, and company standards
* Conduct site inspections, audits, and environmental assessments
* Support environmental impact assessments and method statements
* Monitor and report on environmental performance and KPIs
* Assist with incident investigations and implement corrective actions
* Promote best practice in sustainability, waste management, and pollution prevention
* Liaise with regulators, clients, and other stakeholders
Day Rate: £350 plus per day – contract DOE
