Our client is a well‑established, family‑run business specialising in the supply and installation of high‑quality window blinds and curtains across the UK. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Blinds & Curtain Installation Surveyor to join their expanding team.
This role requires excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate confidently with trades teams, site managers, and retail customers in a friendly and knowledgeable manner.
We are looking for someone who enjoys a varied, hands‑on role within a supportive and welcoming working environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Attend site visits following instructions from the office team, complete inductions, and take accurate measurements for all product types.
* Assess and understand the specific blind or curtain system being surveyed, applying the correct measurement techniques for roller blinds, vertical blinds, fully enclosed systems, and more.
* Liaise with site management regarding fixing details, child‑safety requirements, and any specification queries that could affect dimensions or differ from standard checklists.
* Record all information accurately within the Fieldwire system, ensuring all checklists are fully completed.
* Provide clear, professional advice to clients and site teams, ensuring the highest level of service.
* Communicate effectively with project coordinators to keep them fully informed, enabling smooth project management and accurate client updates.
* Support subcontractors with installation queries when required.
* Assist with sample installations or the delivery of goods to sites or manufacturers as needed.
* Work collaboratively with the wider team to deliver high‑quality projects, including duties such as site supervision (SSSTS), de‑snagging, quality checks, and occasional project management.
