We are working with a well-backed main contractor looking to appoint an experienced Project Director with specialist Data Centre delivery experience to help lead and grow their Data Centre division in the UK.
This is a rare opportunity for a senior leader who may currently feel they have hit a ceiling within their organisation, and wants the platform, backing and autonomy to help build and shape a growing sector within a financially strong contractor.
The business already has strong group backing and infrastructure capability, and is now looking to bring in an industry professional who can help drive the strategy and delivery of hyperscale and enterprise data centre projects across the UK.
The Role
The successful candidate will play a key role in both project delivery and strategic growth of the Data Centre sector.
Responsibilities will include:

Leading the delivery of complex Data Centre projects from preconstruction through to completion
*
Managing large multidisciplinary teams including construction, design, commercial and MEP specialists
*
Acting as the senior client interface with hyperscale and developer clients
*
Supporting bid strategy, project planning and technical delivery
*
Bringing credible case studies of delivered Data Centre projects
*
Supporting market entry through industry relationships and client connections
*
Helping to develop and grow the contractor’s Data Centre capability and pipeline
Requirements
*
Proven experience delivering multiple Data Centre projects
*
Previous experience at Project Director / Senior Project Director level
*
Strong leadership across design, programme, commercial and operational delivery
*
Experience working with hyperscale or enterprise Data Centre clients
*
Ability to bring case studies of successfully delivered projects
*
Strong industry relationships and client engagement skills
Candidates can be based in the UK, Ireland or mainland Europe, provided they are open to working within the UK market.
