Senior Quantity Surveyor

You will be joining an established and well-respected Tier 1 contractor operating within the water industry. This multi-accredited and high-profile contractor delivers large-scale clean and waste capital programmes directly for Thames Water and offers a strong pipeline of AMP8 works for at least the next 4 years, as well as excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development. As part of their continued growth, they are actively seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.
This is a full-time permanent position based in Wantage with flexible and hybrid working.
Your new role
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering a £45m portfolio of clean and waste water pipeline and reservoir projects. You'll manage all commercial aspects of subcontract accounts, from procurement through to final account, while supporting project teams on large-scale capital programmes. Key responsibilities include:
Preparing monthly commercial reports and submitting AFPs
Managing subcontract accounts from procurement through to final settlement
Cash flow and cost/value forecasting
Supporting project teams on all commercial matters to ensure successful delivery.This is an opportunity to work on projects that make a real difference to communities and the environment.
What you'll need to succeed
To excel in this role, you will bring:
Degree/HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying (or similar) or experience equivalent
Experience in subcontract management and working with IChemE and/or NEC forms of contract
Sound negotiation, organisational and communication skills
Strong commercial awareness
Full UK driving licence.
