Site Engineer

Job Description:

Join one of the most successful privately-owned and family-run construction groups in the UK as a Site Engineer. This permanent role, based in Essex, offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to excel in a Tier 1 contractor setting.

Key Requirements:

* Experience: Previous experience with a Tier 1 Construction company is essential along with Department of Education experience and knowledge.

* Certifications: SMSTS, First Aid, CSCS qualifications required.

* Education: Degree educated with a background in a similar role.

Responsibilities:

* Setting out site engineer works according to drawings.

* Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to plan and execute engineering tasks effectively.

* Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work, identifying any issues promptly.

* Assist in the preparation of technical reports, documentation, and progress updates.

* Manage on-site resources, including labour, equipment, and materials, to optimise productivity.

* Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety legislation and company policies.

* Troubleshoot technical issues related to electrical components or systems during construction phases.

Qualifications

* Proven experience as a Site Engineer.

* Strong knowledge of Setting out according drawings.

* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

* Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members, contractors, and clients.

* Relevant engineering qualifications or degree in civil engineering.

* Valid UK driving licence is preferred for site visits and supervision purposes
