Location: Colchester, Essex
Salary/Benefits: £26k – £42k + Training & Benefits
A UKAS accredited consultancy is recruiting for a professional Asbestos Surveyor to join their team. You will be covering contracts across Essex and East Anglia, undertaking the full range of asbestos surveys and obtaining ACM samples for analysis. Our client has an excellent reputation within the industry and can offer good scope for training into air monitoring and gaining the P403 and P404 (or RSPH equivalents). Locations of work include: Colchester, West Mersea, Witham, Braintree, Bishop’s Stortford, Sudbury, Hadleigh, Ipswich, Manningtree, Thaxted, Haverhill, Cambridge, Newmarket, Buntingford, Royston, Ely, Bury St Edmunds, Maldon, Stowmarket, Claydon, Thetford, Diss, Felixstowe, Harwich, Chatteris, Huntingdon, Swaffham, Norwich, Lowestoft.
Experience / Qualifications:
* Experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor within a UKAS accredited company
* Must have obtained the BOHS P402 or RSPH equivalent
* Further industry qualifications would be advantageous (i.e. P403, P404, COCA or RSPH tickets)
* Will be signed off to complete all asbestos surveys
* Able to prioritise own workloads
* Good literacy, numeracy and IT skill level
The Role:
* Undertaking thorough asbestos management, demolition and refurbishment surveys
* Safely obtaining samples from site and delivering to the lab for analysis
* Compiling results and producing detailed survey reports
* Creating site-specific floorplans / schematic drawings
* Providing a consultancy service to clients, advising on findings and answering any technical queries
* Working to set deadlines and daily personal targets
* Ensuring to be punctual and professional when on site
* Supporting the training of new members of staff
