About the Role & Client
ITS Building People are recruiting on behalf of a reputable and well-established specialist subcontractor operating across Surrey and the South East. The company has built a strong reputation for quality and reliability, delivering expert services in scaffolding, brickwork, and roofing.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Scaffold Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join their commercial team. The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates while also supporting the commercial management of scaffolding packages across a diverse range of construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced professionals and ambitious assistants looking to develop their career within a supportive and well-established business.
Key Responsibilities
Preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for scaffolding projects
Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to assess project requirements
Conducting material take-offs and preparing accurate cost plans and bills of quantities
Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations
Managing project costs, valuations, and variations where required
Analysing labour, material, and programme requirements to ensure accurate pricing
Identifying risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving solutions
Supporting the commercial and pre-construction teams throughout the tender process
Attending pre-tender and post-tender meetings as required Ideal Candidate
Experience as a Quantity Surveyor, Estimator, or Assistant within scaffolding or the wider construction sector
Strong understanding of scaffolding systems, access solutions, and site requirements
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
Strong numerical, analytical, and commercial skills
Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach
Highly organised and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or similar (preferred but not essential) How to Apply
