Senior Design Manager

I am currently recruiting for a Senior Design Manager to join a growing contractor delivering high-rise residential and mixed-use projects across London.

This Senior Design Manager role offers the opportunity to take full ownership of design on complex schemes, working closely with site and commercial teams from pre-construction through to delivery. The Senior Design Manager will play a key role in managing design coordination and driving programme, buildability and compliance.

Key Responsibilities – Senior Design Manager

* Lead design coordination across high-rise residential projects

* Manage consultants, subcontractors and design packages

* Oversee design delivery from pre-construction through to completion

* Ensure design aligns with programme, cost and buildability

* Manage RFIs, technical submittals and design information flow

* Work closely with site and commercial teams on live projects

* Ensure compliance with Building Safety Regulator requirements and Gateway processes

Requirements – Senior Design Manager

* Experience as a Senior Design Manager or Design Manager

* Strong background in high-rise residential or mixed-use projects

* Experience working for a main contractor

* Proven experience managing design coordination on live schemes

* Knowledge of RIBA stages, ideally Stage 4–5 delivery

* Experience with BIM, CDE systems (Procore, Aconex or similar)

* Exposure to BSR or Gateway process is highly desirable
