BMS Project Manager
Own fast-moving BMS projects without being stuck on one site full-time.
If your current role feels too reactive, too slow to make decisions, or too boxed in, this could give you more range. You’ll take ownership of BMS projects from order through to completion, work directly with senior decision-makers, and help shape how projects are delivered in a business that wants to improve, not just repeat what everyone else in the sector is already doing.
You’ll join a small, growing team where your input matters. The projects are varied, the pace is real, and your work will be visible.
Why this could beat your current role
You’ll manage a wide spread of BMS projects, not just babysit one job for months on end. Most work sits in the fast-track space, with projects typically ranging from £2k to £200k, so you’ll need to think clearly, prioritise well, and keep things moving. You’ll also report into the Directors, which means fewer layers, quicker decisions, and more chance to influence how delivery improves over time.
What you’ll be doing and why it’s interesting
* Run multiple BMS projects from conception to completion, keeping programmes tight, engineers and subcontractors coordinated, and clients updated without letting quality slip.
* Protect margin as well as delivery, managing costs, procurement, variations, and scope changes so jobs stay commercially under control, not just technically complete.
* Build consistency into delivery, with clear job packs, handover documentation, RAMS, permits, and repeatable ways of working that make future projects smoother.
* Keep clients confident, through strong communication, responsiveness, and visible control across each stage of delivery.
* Support larger projects when required, while still staying sharp on the fast-turnaround work that keeps the business moving.
The challenge
This is not a slow, one-project-at-a-time environment. You’ll be handling multiple concurrent jobs, travelling to sites across the UK when needed, and occasionally coordinating out-of-hours activity where access or critical environments demand it. For the right person, that is exactly where your organisation and calm decision-making stand out.
