An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a dynamic and forward-thinking building services consultancy delivering innovative projects across the UK and internationally.
Our client is a specialist Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health (MEP) consultancy known for its design-led approach, technical excellence, and commitment to sustainable engineering solutions. The Role
You will play a key role in the delivery of mechanical building services designs across a wide range of sectors, working closely with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
* Design of HVAC, ventilation, and mechanical building systems
* Production of detailed calculations, specifications, and technical drawings
* Supporting projects from concept through to construction stage
* Collaborating with architects, contractors, and clients to develop effective design solutions
* Contributing to sustainable and energy-efficient design strategies
Requirements
* Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services
* Experience within a building services consultancy environment
* Familiarity with industry software (e.g. AutoCAD, Revit, IES, or similar)
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Passion for innovation, sustainability, and high-quality design
* Progression toward Chartered status (desirable)
