Salary/Benefits: £26k – £42k + Training & Benefits
A UKAS accredited consultancy has recently won new domestic and local authority contracts, and is seeking an experienced Asbestos Surveyor to fulfil their new works. Our client is a highly respected name within the industry, who have a presence across the UK. It is essential that applicants have strong hands-on experience and will ideally be comfortable providing technical advice directly to clients. Salaries on offer are competitive and will be reflective of a candidate’s current industry experience and knowledge. Benefits include: overtime, pension scheme, annual leave and company vehicle.
You will be travelling across: Cambridge, St Ives, Royston, Newmarket, Saffron Walden, Haverhill, Sudbury, Halstead, Braintree, Bishop’s Stortford, Sawbridgeworth, Harlow, Witham, Colchester, Ipswich, Maldon, Chelmsford, Hadleigh, Felixstowe, Eye, Bury St Edmunds, Thetford, Lowestoft, Norchwich, Great Yarmouth, King’s Lynn, Wisbech, Ely, Chatteris, Huntingdon.
Experience / Qualifications:
* Proven track record working as an Asbestos Surveyor
* Will have worked within a UKAS accredited outfit
* As a minimum, will hold the BOHS P402 (or RSPH equivalent)
* Good industry technical knowledge, including: HSG 264 guidelines
* Strong literacy, numeracy and IT skills
* IT literate
The Role:
* Undertaking detailed management, refurbishment, demolition and re-inspection asbestos surveys
* Servicing a portfolio of domestic and local authority contracts
* Preparing site-specific survey reports, with accompany schematic drawings
* Safely collecting samples from site and delivering to the laboratory
* Meeting with clients to provide updates after conducting surveys
* Acting as a key point of contact for the clients
* Liaising with clients to arrange site access
* Adhering to personal targets and deadlines
