Our client one of the regions leading Groundworks subcontractors, due to continued growth & development they are now actively looking to bolster there team with the addition of a new Contracts Manager.

About the Role
Experienced and driven Groundworks Contracts Manager to oversee multiple projects from pre-construction through to completion. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage and oversee multiple groundworks and civil engineering projects simultaneously

* Lead project teams, including site managers, engineers, and subcontractors

* Ensure all works are carried out in compliance with health & safety regulations

* Monitor project progress, budgets, and timelines, implementing corrective actions where necessary

* Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and senior management to provide regular updates

* Review and negotiate contracts, variations, and procurement schedules

* Drive quality assurance and ensure all works meet required specifications

* Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies

Requirements

* Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within groundworks or civil engineering

* Strong technical knowledge of groundworks, drainage, foundations, and infrastructure works

* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills

* Ability to manage multiple projects and teams effectively

* Strong commercial awareness and contract management experience

* SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification

* Full UK driving licence

Desirable

* Experience working with Tier 1 contractors or major developers

* Knowledge of NEC or JCT contracts
