Our client, a well-established and reputable main contractor, is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee refurbishment projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual with a strong track record in delivering high-quality refurbishment works within live or occupied environments.
The Role
As Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards. You will coordinate trades, manage subcontractors, and maintain close communication with clients and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee all on-site activities on refurbishment projects from inception to completion

Manage subcontractors, site staff, and suppliers effectively
*
Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures
*
Monitor project progress against programme and budget
*
Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks
*
Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams
*
Resolve any on-site issues promptly and efficiently
*
Maintain accurate site records and reporting
Requirements
*
Proven experience as a Site Manager within refurbishment or fit-out projects
*
Strong knowledge of construction processes, particularly within occupied buildings
*
Valid SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid qualifications
*
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
*
Ability to manage multiple trades and maintain programme deadlines
*
Proactive and solutions-focused approach
Desirable
*
Experience working on commercial, residential, or public sector refurbishment schemes
*
Temporary Works Coordinator certification
*
Knowledge of building regulations and compliance standards
