Estimator – London

We are currently working with a well-established main contractor to recruit an experienced Estimator to join their growing London team.

This is a great opportunity to join a reputable business delivering a range of projects across commercial, residential, and refurbishment sectors.

The Role

As Estimator, you will be a key part of the pre-construction team, responsible for producing accurate and competitive tenders.

Key responsibilities include:

Preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions
Reviewing drawings, specifications, and project requirements
Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations
Identifying risks, opportunities, and value engineering options
Liaising with internal teams and attending client meetings
Supporting the wider pre-construction function

Requirements

Proven experience as an Estimator within a main contractor
Strong knowledge of construction methods and pricing
Experience across refurbishment and/or new build projects
Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines
Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
Good IT skills including Excel and estimating software
