Are you a commercially astute leader with a strong background in MEP and a passion for winning work? We’re looking for a Senior MEP Commercial Manager to join a specialist MEP division, playing a pivotal role in shaping and securing major projects.

This is a high-impact position within a dynamic bidding and pre-construction team, where you’ll lead the commercial strategy across complex tenders and work closely with senior stakeholders to deliver winning, commercially robust bids.

The Role
As Senior Commercial Manager, you will take ownership of the commercial direction of major tenders, ensuring submissions are competitive, compliant, and aligned with business objectives.

You’ll collaborate with bid leaders and pre-construction teams, influence key decisions, and present directly to senior leadership, while guiding and mentoring a high-performing commercial team.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the commercial strategy across large-scale MEP tenders
Develop and oversee cost plans, pricing models, and financial structures
Define contract strategies, procurement routes, and risk positions
Drive risk management processes, including workshops and mitigation strategies
Manage value engineering and alternative solutions to strengthen bids
Review and negotiate contract terms, including payment mechanisms, warranties, and liabilities
Oversee supply chain engagement, benchmarking, and subcontractor negotiations
Ensure full compliance with governance and internal commercial procedures
Present commercial positions in client meetings, interviews, and negotiations
Collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams to deliver cohesive, compelling bids
Provide leadership and mentorship to estimators, surveyors, and junior staff
Support pre-construction planning, buildability reviews, and programme validation
Monitor market trends, inflation, and cost movements to inform bidding strategy
About You
You’re a confident commercial leader with strong technical and financial expertise, capable of influencing at senior level and driving successful outcomes on complex bids.
