I’m recruiting on behalf of a client seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee a portfolio of care home projects across the Midlands, North London and South London. Their workload spans both design & build and traditional schemes, with Managers typically running 2–3 projects at a time, generally up to £13m in value.

The client has recently interviewed a number of candidates — one offer accepted, one declined — and is now looking to bring on one additional Contracts Manager with strong care sector experience.

Role Overview:
The position involves overseeing multiple care home projects, supporting site teams, managing programme and quality, and ensuring all schemes meet strict regulatory and compliance standards associated with the sector. Most of the current workload sits below the M25, with projects stretching from the Midlands down to the South Coast, across both east and west. Regular site travel is expected.

Ideal Background:

* Proven experience managing care home builds or refurbishments

* Ability to oversee several live schemes concurrently

* Strong understanding of sector-specific compliance, safety and quality requirements

* Comfortable with both D&B and traditional forms of contract

* Flexible to travel across regions as required
