The Opportunity

A well-established SME mechanical contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to deliver CAT A & CAT B commercial fit-out projects across the City of London.

With a highly stable senior leadership team (SLT) and a consistent pipeline of work, this business offers a secure environment alongside the opportunity to take full ownership of projects.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for managing multiple mechanical projects, typically valued up to £2 million, reporting directly into the Construction Director. Each project will have a dedicated Supervisor on site, allowing you to focus on programme, client management, and commercial delivery.

This role is ideal for a hands-on Project Manager who enjoys autonomy while still having strong support from senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Manage mechanical projects from pre-construction through to completion

*

Oversee multiple schemes across CAT A & CAT B commercial fit-outs

*

Lead and support site Supervisors and subcontractors

*

Ensure delivery in line with programme, budget, and specification

*

Maintain high standards of health & safety and quality

*

Manage procurement, variations, and commercial performance

*

Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams

*

Report directly to the Construction Director

Requirements

*

Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager

*

Background delivering CAT A / CAT B commercial projects

*

Experience managing projects up to £2m

*

Strong commercial awareness and organisational skills

*

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
