Building Surveyor – Newbury

About the Role
We are currently seeking a Freelance Building Surveyor to support a range of commercial construction projects based in Newbury, West Berkshire. This role is well suited to a motivated and reliable individual looking to gain or build on practical experience within the commercial sector, while contributing to ongoing project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with building surveys, site inspections, and condition reports
Support the preparation of basic specifications and schedules of work
Identify and report on property defects and maintenance requirements
Monitor site activities to ensure work is progressing in line with plans and standards
Liaise with site teams, contractors, and project stakeholders as required
Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulationsRequirements

Some experience or academic background in Building Surveying or a related field (preferred but not essential)
Basic understanding of UK building regulations and construction practices
Willingness to learn and take direction from senior team members
Good communication and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks
Full UK driving licence (preferred)What We Offer
