About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Lead Site Manager to take full responsibility for delivering a 20-week demolition project involving the removal of a 3-storey council office block. This is a key leadership role requiring strong coordination, compliance management, and on-site control from mobilisation through to completion.

Scope of Works

Full demolition of a 3-storey council office building. Installation and management of perimeter hoarding, including sections positioned on public pavement. Coordination and compliance with all licensing requirements related to public access and highway use. Management of site logistics, safety, and environmental controls throughout the project lifecycle

Key Responsibilities

* Lead and manage all on-site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and within scope

* Oversee demolition activities in line with method statements and risk assessments

* Ensure strict compliance with all health & safety regulations and CDM requirements

* Coordinate permits, licences, and approvals—particularly for pavement hoarding and public interface

* Manage subcontractors, operatives, and site personnel

* Act as the primary point of contact between client, local authority, and stakeholders

* Maintain accurate site records, progress reports, and documentation

* Proactively identify and resolve site issues and risks

Requirements

* Proven experience as a Lead Site Manager on demolition projects

* Strong knowledge of demolition processes, sequencing, and safety practices

* Experience managing projects involving public interfaces and highway/pavement licences

* Valid SMSTS certification

* CSCS card (Black/Manager level preferred)

* First Aid at Work certification
