Job Title: Estimator (Civils & Renewables)

The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Estimator to support pricing and tendering activities across a portfolio of civils and renewable energy projects. You will play a key role in developing accurate cost estimates, analysing project requirements, and supporting competitive bid submissions.

Scope of Works:

* 33kV cable installations

* Substation carriage run works

* Ducting installation

* Groundworks and associated civils

* Tarmac and reinstatement works

* Civils packages across construction and renewable energy projects

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for civils projects

* Analyse drawings, specifications, and project documentation

* Conduct take-offs and quantify materials, labour, and plant requirements

* Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations

* Identify risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving solutions

* Support bid strategy and ensure submissions meet client requirements

* Maintain accurate cost databases and benchmarking data

Requirements:

* Proven experience estimating within civils and/or renewable energy sectors

* Strong knowledge of groundworks, ducting, and tarmac works

* Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications

* Commercial awareness and attention to detail

* Strong communication and analytical skills

* Contract Length: Minimum 12 months

* Location: Various sites across Scotland and the UK

* Flexibility required for occasional travel to the Shetland Islands (all expenses covered
