SITE MANAGER
A reputable, multi-disciplinary construction contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to join their operational team, delivering projects across Yorkshire.
With a diverse portfolio spanning commercial, residential, education, healthcare, leisure, and industrial sectors, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards.
Projects are typically valued between £5m – £20m, requiring strong leadership, coordination, and attention to detail.
The Role
As Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of site operations, working closely with the Project Manager and wider team to ensure successful project delivery.
You will be the driving force on site, ensuring programme, quality, and health & safety standards are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
Managing all on-site activities from site setup through to completion
Coordinating and supervising subcontractors and trades
Driving programme and ensuring key milestones are achieved
Maintaining high standards of quality and ensuring works are delivered to specification
Enforcing strict health & safety procedures and site compliance
Leading site meetings and reporting progress to senior management
Managing logistics, materials, and site resources effectively
Liaising with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery
Resolving any on-site issues efficiently and proactivelyRequirements
Proven experience as a Site Manager within a main contractor environment
Experience delivering projects within the £5m – £20m range
Exposure to multiple sectors (commercial, residential, education, etc.) is highly desirable
SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid qualifications are essential
Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage fast-paced projects and multiple trades simultaneously
