Senior Estimator

A great opportunity has become available for a Senior Estimator to join a very well-established Construction Company based in Aberdeen. In this role, you will be managing the full tender lifecycle, so it is important that you have previous experience in this field. The company you will be joining have an impressive history and continue to work with a large portfolio of clients, ensuring that all projects are delivered to highest of quality.
Responsibilities:
* Lead and oversee estimates for Civil Engineering tenders.
* Prepare take-offs and develop rates.
* Obtain, analyse and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations.
* Identify and manage commercial risks.
* Lead estimating handovers.
* Maintain cost databases.
* Mentor Junior Estimators when requires.
* Present estimates and risks to senior management.
Essential:
* Proven Estimating experience within Civil Engineering.
* Strong commercial awareness with ability to build estimates from first principles.
* Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts.
* Ability to manage multiple tenders under pressure.
Desirable:
* Degree or HNC/ HND in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or similar.
* Experience with estimating software.
