We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical Engineer to join a critical maintenance team at a world-leading science and innovation hub in Didcot. This is a unique opportunity to work across a diverse business park environment supporting public and private sector organizations at the forefront of aerospace, clean energy, life sciences, and quantum computing.
Role Overview
Pay Rate: £25 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week.
Contract Type: Contract till July (Ongoing).
Location: Didcot (Business Park setting).
Start Date: ASAP / 13/04/2026.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Maintenance: Carry out comprehensive planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and rapid reactive repairs to ensure 100% uptime for critical site infrastructure.
Fault Diagnosis: Utilize advanced fault-finding techniques across a wide range of sophisticated electrical machinery and plant equipment.
System Reliability: Support high-tech sectors by maintaining production-critical electrical systems, ensuring all site services meet rigorous industry standards.
Safety & Compliance: Execute all works in strict accordance with current Health and Safety regulations, including the maintenance of accurate digital asset records.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications:
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Installations.
Experience & Skills:
Sector Expertise: Proven experience working within industrial or commercial settings, ideally within science or high-tech innovation environments.
Technical Breadth: Strong proficiency in electrical fault finding and the maintenance of diverse industrial equipment.
Safety Conscious: A robust understanding of safety protocols, including LOTO and working within regulated environments.
