Location: North West England (Merseyside + site travel)
Salary: £60,000 – £65,000 + Vehicle Allowance

The Role
You will be responsible for delivering mechanical building services projects from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and to a high standard. Working for a well-established contractor with a strong reputation in the electrical sector, you will play a key role in developing and growing the mechanical side of the business. Projects typically range from £50k to £5M and span residential (including care developments), commercial and mixed-use schemes across the North West, working with main contractors and developers. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who can hit the ground running and take ownership of projects from day one.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage mechanical projects from start to completion
• Procure materials, labour and subcontractors
• Maintain full project financial control and profitability
• Manage subcontractor performance and programme
• Coordinate with internal teams for full M&E delivery
• Attend and lead client and site progress meetings
• Monitor site progress, quality and installation standards
• Provide technical support to site teams and clients
• Produce valuations, applications and manage variations
• Negotiate and agree final accounts
• Ensure H&S compliance and produce RAMS
• Identify value engineering opportunities
• Build and maintain client relationships
The Ideal Candidate
• Mechanical Project Manager / Contracts Manager background
• Strong HVAC, heating and plant room knowledge
• Experience delivering building services projects
• M&E contractor experience preferred
• Strong commercial awareness
• NVQ / HNC / HND in Building Services or similar
• CSCS Managers Card / SMSTS
• Able to start immediately or at short notice
