Estimator (Electrical Design & Build) | London | £50,000 – £70,000 per annum
We are working on behalf of an established commercial building services business specialising in electrical design, based in London, who are looking to appoint an experienced Electrical D&B Estimator to their team.
The Role
This is a full-cycle estimating position, covering everything from initial tender review through to handover of successful tender information to the project team. You will play a significant role in shaping project outcomes, with direct involvement in negotiations and the opportunity to work across a varied and impressive project portfolio.
Responsibilities will include:
Reviewing tender packages, including technical drawings and supporting documentation
Carrying out base electrical designs to underpin the quoting process
Producing detailed estimates and cost plans across multiple live tenders
Organising and maintaining tender folders with all relevant documentation
Attending design meetings and conducting site surveys during the tender phase
Participating in tender negotiations
Handing over successful tender information to the project team with a full briefing on scope of works
Identifying commercial risks and opportunities throughout the estimating process
The Candidate
Experience in Electrical Design & Build estimating (Essential)
Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems (Essential)
Confident communicator
Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work to tight deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with general IT systems
