Mechanical Foreperson – Construction

The Opportunity

Our client is a well-established and highly respected building services contractor delivering major projects across the UK. They are seeking an experienced Mechanical Foreperson to oversee and drive site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone with strong mechanical installation knowledge and proven experience managing site teams within the construction sector.

Key Responsibilities

As Mechanical Foreperson, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of site activities, including:

Leading and supervising mechanical installation works on site

*

Controlling and coordinating all supply chain partners and subcontractors

*

Procuring materials in line with programme requirements

*

Ensuring all Health & Safety standards and site compliance requirements are met

*

Attending and contributing to daily site meetings and briefings

*

Monitoring progress against programme and resolving on-site issues

*

Supporting and mentoring apprentices as part of the company’s apprenticeship programme

*

Maintaining clear communication with site management and project teams

Requirements

Essential:

*

Proven experience as a Mechanical Foreman or Supervisor within construction

*

Strong knowledge of mechanical building services installations

*

Ability to lead teams and coordinate multiple workstreams effectively

*

Excellent communication and organisational skills

Desirable (not essential):

*

Basic IT skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint

*

SSSTS and/or CSCS certification

*

First Aid qualification
