Clements Young are working with a well-established M&E contractor delivering complex projects across commercial, industrial and infrastructure sectors. Due to continued growth, we’re looking for an experienced Building Services Mechanical Estimator to join their preconstruction team.

You’ll be trusted to take ownership of tenders from enquiry through to submission, influencing both commercial strategy and project outcomes.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for producing accurate, competitive tenders across mechanical and electrical packages, working closely with internal teams and the supply chain.

Key responsibilities include:

* Managing tenders from ITT through to final submission

* Preparing detailed cost estimates across M&E packages

* Reviewing enquiry documentation and identifying risks/opportunities

* Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing

* Analysing quotations and making commercial recommendations

* Supporting bid strategy, including logistics, programme and buildability

* Presenting tender submissions to senior stakeholders

* Ensuring all estimates account for technical, commercial and H&S requirements

What They’re Looking For

* Proven experience as an M&E Estimator within construction

* Strong understanding of commercial, industrial or infrastructure projects

* Ability to manage tenders independently

* Experience working with supply chains and analysing subcontractor returns

* Solid understanding of measurement (NRM/RMM)

* Comfortable using estimating software (e.g. Amtech) and Excel

* Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
