The Role
We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee multiple construction projects from pre-construction to completion, ensuring delivery is safe, on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee multiple projects from pre-construction to completion
Ensure projects meet programme, budget, and quality requirements
Manage site teams including Site Managers and subcontractors
Monitor project progress, performance, and risk
Work with commercial team on budgets, cost control, and reporting
Review valuations, variations, and final accounts
Ensure compliance with health & safety standards
Promote a strong safety culture across all sites
Act as key client and consultant contact
Maintain stakeholder relationships
Lead project meetings and provide updates
Oversee project programmes and milestone delivery
Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality
Drive continuous improvement in project delivery
Lead, mentor, and support site teams Requirements
Proven experience as a Contracts Manager in main contracting
Experience delivering residential and/or commercial projects
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Knowledge of construction processes, contracts (e.g., JCT), and regulations
Commercial awareness and financial management skills
Leadership and stakeholder management skills
SMSTS and CSCS (Black/Gold card preferred)
Relevant degree or equivalent experience (desirable)
